This has been the best decision I could have ever made. I can now get around and enjoy my life. I am able to be more active with my children, which is the main reason I had this surgery. Struggling with my weight my entire life and not being able to interact with my children, without being completely exhausted and or uncomfortable, was hard to deal with. I had to make sure I am around for my kids and grandkids, as being a single mom, I am all they have. My job performance as a mail carrier has increased due to better endurance. I was and am so satisfied that I encouraged my sister to have it done as well. I am now 10 months out and I feel fantastic. You know it is still a daily struggle, because as the Doctor said, it is just a tool as diet and exercise and he was so right. I am determined to stay on track and live a long and healthy life. I am struggling with this last 10-15 lbs that I want to lose but I will get there. I would love to have skin removal surgery, but insurance doesn’t cover that. My excess skin however is not horrible. I want to thank Dr. Doucette for giving me the chance to actually live my life with my children comfortably. Without being held back from lack of energy, embarrassment, endurance, pain and motivation. I would do it all over again if I had too.
