I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I also watched most of the women in my family do it. I tried every diet under the sun. I couldn’t stick with them because I was either starving or what they wanted me to eat was gross. I suffered from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and depression. I was ashamed of how I looked. I didn’t want to go out and do anything. I couldn’t walk my dog without getting winded.

I considered weight loss surgery for about two years. I got a new job, and the insurance there covered it.

Everyone was super nice and helpful. They told me on the first visit what kind of money (cost) I was looking at so that I could be financially prepared. They didn’t sugarcoat anything. So I knew it was going to be a long road, but I was going to be able to do it.

I can cross my legs when sitting. I can buy cuter clothes. I find new things every day, and I think “wow I couldn’t do this time last year.” I can do anything now.
